07 / Voice integration

Voice agents for apps

Give your app a voice interface with a clear boundary.

When this is useful

A voice interface changes how a user gives instructions and understands state. Speech, app tools, interruption handling and permission checks have to work together. This service is for adding a new voice capability to an existing app; the voice reliability diagnostic is for a flow that already exists.

  • Users need to perform one app task conversationally rather than through several screens.
  • The agent needs app actions but permission and confirmation rules are undefined.
  • You need a browser or mobile voice proof of concept with a scoped integration path.

What you receive

  • Conversation flow + app tool contracts
  • Sandbox validation + failure scenarios
  • Permission, handoff and integration plan

What’s included

  • Define one agent, one task flow and one language/configuration.
  • Map the conversation to a bounded set of existing app actions and tool contracts.
  • Specify permission checks, user confirmations, interruption and fallback behaviour.
  • Validate a thin sandbox flow against an agreed set of conversation scenarios.
  • Deliver the integration design, scenario results and implementation proposal, with one review call and one factual-correction round.

Schedule & agreement

Draft planning assumption: 5–10 business days after the app task, sandbox access, test scenarios and delivery slot are agreed. Commercial scope is subject to review.

Currency, tax treatment and final scope are agreed before work starts. Implementation and ongoing support are scoped separately.

What’s outside the check

  • An entire assistant platform, contact-centre rollout or telephony migration.
  • Production rollout, unlimited app actions or multi-language expansion.
  • Always-on operation, guaranteed latency or unapproved vendor subscriptions.

Access we’ll agree

Agreed app API documentation, sandbox access and sanitised task examples. Microphone, provider and model usage requirements are scoped explicitly before the prototype. No recordings, credentials or uploads are requested in the initial enquiry.

From diagnosis to a scoped fix

A separate fixed-price implementation can integrate the agreed flow into one app surface, add state handling and handoff, and provide a runbook. We define supported environments and acceptance scenarios before building the production integration.

Questions before you start

How is this different from the voice reliability check?

This starts with a new voice capability and an app integration boundary. The reliability check investigates measured failures in an existing agent flow. Choose the entry point that matches your current system.

Can the voice agent change things in the app?

Only through agreed app actions with the relevant permissions and confirmations. The integration design makes those boundaries explicit; unrestricted autonomous app control is outside scope.
